So hey.

Brain worms
Anyone want a standing Sunday-afternoon date throughout fall and winter so I don't have to deal with being bombarded with brain damage demolition derby football all day every goddamn week?

Because it makes me stabby, I tell you.

I'd invite you over, but we're in Milwaukee!

I would if I were up there! We have a football-free household (actually, a televised-sports-free household :)

Sounds like a great idea, were you closer (or I!)

Were I but in Boston. I LOATHE organized sports.

Ugh, it makes me stabby too. I may be tempted to spend my weekends in Boston if you find something awesome to do.

I'm definitely a football-free zone; as far as I'm concerned, there are no professional sporting events between the end of the World Series and the start of spring training. (This may change once mrissa gets a chance to indoctrinate me in the ways of hockey, though.)

My Sunday afternoons are generally free.

You definitely don't want to come over here on Sundays or Mondays, I'll tell you what. I actually don't mind the football anymore. I enjoy listening for the completely crazy things the announcers say, and I enjoy adding the homoerotic subtext to everything they say, and really, it's not a stretch and is a very fun game to play. But if I were trying to concentrate on something I'd go ballistic pretty soon too. Hanging out in your office with the doors closed doesn't help?

and I enjoy adding the homoerotic subtext to everything they say

This is why I'm not allowed to watch football with friends.

I'm home most Sundays and willing to host a football free relax-a-thon if you and/or other people want to drift out to Natick.

Football is the only one of the four major sports I don't watch, mostly because it bores me to tears. :D

That could be fun!
26th-Oct-2009 12:15 am (UTC)
I have never wanted to live in Boston before now. ;)
26th-Oct-2009 05:26 pm (UTC)
What, never? :)

Two words: wireless headphones.

Once the craziness dies down a little around here, I'll resume the introvert parties. Football is not allowed in this house, ever.

I love the Patriots. I really do.
Then came the '07 season, and the video taping thing, and there was a disconnect with the team I'd been cheering for all that time.
I don't anticipate the rift being mended any time soon, so if you want company on a random Sunday afternoon, I'm game. Throw me on the list of potential dates.

w00t!

Heh. I actually enjoy watching football, but we have no tv signal at our apartment. My schedule isn't regular enough to host anything on Sunday afternoons, but if there was a regular meetup at 1369 or Andala or somewhere, I'd drop in.
26th-Oct-2009 05:27 pm (UTC)
We could do that... :)
26th-Oct-2009 04:51 am (UTC)
Had I moved back to the Boston area, I could say, "I'm your huckleberry". Still working on that.
26th-Oct-2009 05:35 pm (UTC) - If you'd like to earn some money at it
We game on Sunday afternoons and pay to have someone in to play with the kids. It's not a lot of cash but it does come with Internet and hot tub access, plus food.
