Happy birthday to sabrinageek!

Hello to new reader c1!

Medical
I have been a bit achy since about Wednesday, and I had a spot of arm trouble yesterday. Think it's stress. Hoping it's stress and not weather; the stress is more likely to go away sooner!

Wind Tunnel Dreams
Will continue through the end of this week at least; we only have about a third of the money we need. Please help us get Gwyn home for Thanksgiving!

Link Soup
* Domestic violence is a pre-existing condition?
* Circus friends, check out Pink at the VMAs!
* Boston friends, Actors' Shakespeare Project has announced their 2009-2010 schedule! I want to go to there. But $50?
* How about free instead? Anyone want to join me for a scotch tasting?

Daily Science
How to Create Quantum Superpositions of Living Things: First photons, atoms and molecules. Now physicists want to create a quantum superposition of a virus, which will allow them to perform Schrodinger's Cat experiment for real.

Plans
WTD, Places You Haunt, doctor stuff. Possibly hanging out with felisdemens. BARCC peer supervision meeting tonight, which I'm looking forward to; haven't seen most of my BARCC colleagues & friends since July!

Stunned by the DV link. Sickened by the implications of denying coverage to people who have already been victimized. Furious, actually, and will be posting this to FB.

I would personally like to beat within an inch of their craven little lives the upper-level insurance executives who deemed appropriate the denial of DV claims...and then deny THEM treatment.

That performance by P!nk was superb (to my relatively inexperienced circus eyes, anyways). Or it may be that I like seeing her in a leotard and pasty, whatever.

i LOVED pink last night, both for the circus moves and for the pasty.

Rolling Stone had an interview with Pink last week where they met up with her during rehearsals for her upcoming US tour. The acrobatics are going to be part of the full tour (as they have been in her extended Australia concert dates). And yes- she really does sing while doing all of that, which makes it more impressive. Her 'childhood dream' was to be a gymnast, so this is her way of fulfilling both that and her musical career. Pretty nifty.

I want to attend one of their events, some day. Unfortunately I'll be in NY while these events are going on.

Just a head's up:

Today is the start of Invisible Illness Awareness week

http://invisibleillnessweek.com/

I first found out about this week from your LJ many years ago, and for my sister (who has multiple chronic invisible illnesses) it has been really nice to know that there are people out there who get it.

Pink's performance was awesome! I loved the leotard as well.

Lady GaGa has become such a guilty pleasure for me. The combination of fun dance music with that level of crazy is pretty irresistible...
